End of the School Year Specials!

Do you know how many school days are left in your school year? Has the "count down" begun?

We know that school is rapidly drawing to a close.

So, we wanted to offer some terrific specials between now and the end of the year!

We're running two POGOs! (POGO = Pick One, Get One!)

If you choose either our new release, Food Truck Roadblock, or Drew Cary Vol 2,  as your FAV (free annual video), you'll get the other one automatically included as a bonus!

If you choose either one of our Money DVDs, A World of Money or Too Much Money, as your FAV, you'll get the other Money title as your free automatic bonus.

Did you already pick your FAV for this year? Don't worry, we have a great special for you as well:

Our PLUS program is on sale for half price! For just $4.95 for a WHOLE YEAR (from the date you sign up), you can get a FREE DVD every 30 days! That's 12 FREE DVDs for the year! Yes, we even cover the shipping & handling! You just have to come back to the site every 30 days and leave feedback on your previous DVD, then select your new one. This works out to just .41 per DVD, and that includes the shipping!

All of these specials are good now through the end of the izzit.org school year, which is June 30, 2014.

Get your hands on some great resources to combat those "end of the school year" blues, where it's hard to hold the kids' attention.

If you haven't chosen your FAV for the school year, time is running out! Don't miss your chance to get a DVD this year. Take advantage of one of our terrific specials.

What do tamales, cupcakes, and a tape measure have in common?

Answer: They're all things that might be found on a Chicago food truck!

In Chicago, food entrepreneurs who want to run a food truck face a lot of roadblocks in the form of regulations.  Regulations that require them to have a GPS unit and a tape measure.

The tape measure isn't actually required, but if they want to avoid some hefty fines, they need it.

Learn more about how food trucks operate in the Windy City, and maybe order up some lunch. The teacher's guide for this unit includes several "consumer math" activities you can do with your students, as well as some delicious recipes. Cook up student interest with this fascinating new release from izzit.

The deadline is coming! The deadline is coming!

The "Name a Pup of Liberty" Contest is quickly drawing to a close! The deadline for entries is March 31.

Have your class use the "punny" formula to name a new character for our upcoming sequel to Pups of Liberty: The Boston T-Bone Party. The new film will focus on the "Dogclaration of Independence."

The winning teacher will receive a Kindle Fire, and his/her class will receive a prize as well.  Plus, you'll get credit for the name, which will be used in the new film.

Special thanks to our teachers!

We've just concluded our annual survey where 600 teachers are randomly selected from the izzit.org database to give us additional feedback to help us improve our products.

This survey is different from the "regular" feedback forms we ask teachers to complete in order to receive a free DVD each year. Teachers responded to a total of approximately 35 questions designed to help us understand how teachers like/use our products, and what else they'd like to see.

It generally takes about 10 minutes to complete. These gift cards are our way of thanking those teachers for their time.

We can't improve our products without your feedback, so we appreciate every form of it, from our regular feedback form, to the emails you send us, to the completion of our annual survey.

Thank you!

New Release - Locked Out! Roots of the Arab Spring

We've got a new release!

Locked Out! Roots of the Arab Spring tells the story of Tariq Mohamad Bouazizi, who sold fruits and vegetables from a pushcart in Sidi Bouzid, Tunisia. He couldn’t afford the time (142 days to complete 54 procedural steps ) or the money ($3,233 – more than he made in a year) to register his business legally. He was Locked Out of the system.

Like the vast majority of people in the Middle East, he ran his business extra-legally and dealt with harassment from corrupt officials. On the fateful day of Dec. 17, 2010, his run-in with officials and resultant death sent shockwaves across the Middle East, plunging the region into strife and conflict as millions demanded change.

Discover the Roots of the Arab Spring - the story of Tariq Mohamad Bouazizi.

Recommended for grades 9-12.

Pups of Liberty Contest!

We're having a Pups of Liberty Contest!

Your class can name a new Pups of Liberty character for our upcoming sequel!

Visit www.izzit.org and click on CONTESTS in the left menu to learn more.

There's a prize for the winning teacher (a Kindle Fire) as well as a prize for the winning class (Teacher's Choice - a class pizza party or a book for each student.) The contest runs all of February and March, so if you don't already have Pups of Liberty: The Boston Tea-Bone Party, you have time to get a copy and use it in your classroom.

You must be logged in to your izzit.org account in order to enter. (An izzit.org account is free!)

Our animation team is already hard at work on the next Pups film, which will center around the "Doglaration of Independence." It will be another fun way to teach (or review) American History.
